Vice Governor Shi Heping
of Jiangsu Province came to visit Taicang Port
On April 18, Vice Governor Shi Heping of Jiangsu Province came to
visit Taicang Port, Pu Ronggao, Party Secretary of Taicang and Mei
Zhengrong, Vice Mayor of Suzhou and Director of Taicang Port
Administrative Committee accompanied him on the visit.
Shi said that, as a major component of the container hub port during
the state’s construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre,
Taicang Port is the key port project in Jiangsu Province. Although
the international crisis might bring some difficulties to the
economic development, it also impacted the construction cost like
the price of raw materials. He wishes both Taicang and Taicang Port
take the opportunity to accelerate the infrastructure construction
and port development, so as to win an advantageous position in the
future.
