Taicang International Gateway Welcomes the Maiden Call of Taicang - Inchon Line
(Taicang, 29 September 2009) Recently, Taicang International Gateway welcomed the maiden call of LIN YUAN Vessel, which started a new shipping line from Taicang to Inchon, Korea. We believe that in the near future, Taicang International Gateway will be the first choice for more and more shipping lines.

About Taicang International Gateway

A new deepwater port located at the hub of the fast-growing Yangtze River Delta A new deepwater port located at the hub of the fast-growing Yangtze River Delta (YRD) manufacturing region, where the Yangtze River and East China Sea converge, Taicang International Gateway became fully operational in 2006. The facility is an ideal gateway to the most developed economic region of Southern Jiangsu, including the fast-growing export-oriented industrial sectors of Kunshan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Taicang and other nearby areas. It is equipped with a full array of cutting-edge technology, and operated by a highly experienced management team and dedicated workforce who provide world-class container services. Taicang International Gateway is owned and operated by Suzhou Modern Terminals, Ltd., a joint-venture company formed by Modern Terminals and the Suzhou Government.

Taicang International Gateway has a designed annual throughput capacity of 2 million TEUs. The total quay length of 1,100 metres and the current quay depth at 12.5 metres, which will be dredged to 14 metres, can accommodate four 50,000-tonne vessels simultaneously, and its 35 Electrical Rubber-tyred Gantry Cranes can provide efficient and environmental friendly operations.
